Earlier today, EA announced that they are removing the option to play as Taliban in the multi-player aspect of the upcoming Medal of Honor game.
However, this announcement is somewhat misleading, as EA has simply changed the name of the Taliban team, to OpFor (Opposing Forces). The option to play on the "Terrorist" team is still there, and gameplay has not changed in any way.
It is not yet known if this change will allow Medal of Honor to be sold on Military Exchange shelves, but personally, how will this change will make any difference. How does changing the name make it alright? And why is playing as the Taliban any more offensive than gunning down innocent civilians in GTA4?
What do you think?
