Hackers in Global Agenda?!

With so many new members to the Global Agenda community, I have seen an increase in concerns about hackers and HiRez' response to hacking. This topic comes up time and time again, so here is some clarification on what HiRez does about hackers, and what you can do to help.

HiRez has a vast amount of data/statistics available, and can datamine players to determine patterns in their gameplay that exhibit characteristics of hacking. There have been hacks made for GA, but the majority of them were discontinued, due to how easily HiRez detects and bans hackers.

The details on what HiRez does in detecting hacks remains a secret, because it keeps the hacking community from knowing what is going on. HiRez is very thorough, and takes all reports of hacking seriously.

If you see a suspicious player, please submit a ticket through the #Answer Center#. You can try to /report PLAYERNAME reason ingame, but HiRez can deal with it much more easily if you submit a ticket in the #Answer Center#

If you can, take a video of the hack in action, put it on YouTube as an UNLISTED VIDEO, and add this video link to your
#Answer Center# ticket.

*Please do not post public videos or create a forum thread about the hacker*

HiRez does not want the hackers to know they're coming for them. If you post a public video, hack sites will actually use your videos to promote their product.

Please note that most of the players that are accused of hacking (specifically top-tier snipers) are actually "that good", and can make consistently hit pointblank shots, airshots, etc. If you have doubts, please feel free to play with me ingame (ign: iKill) and I'll show ya. ;)

Remember that despite having excellent anti-hack measures, no game can be 100% hackproof. Therefore, it is a combination of player and GM effort that will keep the gaming experience clean.

Happy gaming!

From the official Global Agenda forums and posted by HiRezChris on Oct 4th, 2010:
In the past few days we have ban numerous accounts for hacking. We never do immediate bans
because we 1) want to make sure we have documentation and 2) we don't want to the hackers to know how and when we caught them.

Again this weekend we banned our first group from our list.

Thanks!
Chris

I'm sorry, I wouldn't normally post this, but come on. Stop potraying yourself as a top tier player. You're decent. Above average even. But you're not Torokokill, Duel or Izrail. Try to keep things neutral and this will be a good site, othervise well written!

  2. Sorry but I dislike players who claim to not hack, most top recons do, I have killed both iKill and Izrail, it took alot of skill and patientance on my part. I gave them easily 6 kills or more everytime I have fought them to my one kill. They have skill but, they do die unlike the rest(iKill, izrail, ect live alot longer because they move stick move)Example of a hacker Con:Did a scramble with a recon that was opposing team that got 23 kills, 28 assists, 17 bots, 0 deaths, 85k plus damage, objective 19K, and 19K absorbed, for 25 minutes and his team still lost. of play sorry no one is that good.It suxs that players just cant play win or lose always tryin to cheat...

  3. watch CaerusX and you'll see him get a ton of kills but very little damage for that amount of kills. He just doesn't miss with his IC. Eledrax is another. A lot of them are hard to detect because it's so hard to tell who's cheating when they never leave home without a pocket medic/paingunner that gives free kills.
